You'll use My Library Account in WorldCat to:

  • Renew books online
  • See what you have checked out from the library
  • See if you have any fines and how much they are
  • Request items from other libraries

Here's how to set up your password so you can use your library account

  1. Click Sign in next to My Library Account at top of WorldCat page (

  2. Enter your w# without the w (see example on the screen)

  3. Click Set/reset password

  4. Enter w# again on next screen to receive link via email

  5. Open new tab; click home; go to student email

  6. Log in to your email; click the link provided in the message from OCLC

  7. Enter w# w/o the w (this is your username; you can’t choose a new one)

  8. On the next line, enter a password of your choosing(maybe use same as PiratesNet or student email) and on the third line, enter the same password again to confirm 

  9. On previous tab, there should still be a sign in window; enter w# and password you just created (or just open a new WorldCat window and click Sign in next to My Library Account at top of page, and enter w# and password)

  10. My Library Account at top of screen now has a green icon beside it (no color until you sign in)

  11. At this point, you can either click My Library Account to see what you have checked out, what items you've requested, or if you have any fines.
