Your experience is not unusual. I hope you will come back in to get your questions answered. Our hours can be found at the link below. This also shows the hours that a librarian is available for research help. It is typically rather quiet from 9 to 10 am (not very many students needing a librarian's help) and again after 3:30 or 4:00. During those times a librarian can probably spend a little more time with you.

You can also check a few websites for guidance: Purdue OWL and MJC's Format & Cite/Annotated Bibliography pages will give you instructions, examples, and explanations. 

If the only help you really need, however, is summing up articles you have read, the best place to get help might be the writing center. You can call 575-6346 to make an appointment on East Campus, or 575-6676 for West Campus.
