FAQ

The Question

How can I find articles with a certain word count?

Our Answer

Gale's advanced search lets you limit your searches by word count.

What you'll need to do is:

  1. Go to the Articles & Databases page on the library's website
  2. Select Gale databases
  3. Click on Advanced Search at the top of the screen
  4. Type your search term or terms in the first Search for box under the Advanced Search heading
  5. Type your desired word count in the second Search for box. Then click the dropdown menu after the word in
  6. Scroll down the dropdown menu list until you see word count and select it
  7. Click Search

Not all databases have the ability to limit results by word count. The only other one we have currently that also does this is Access World News.
