Hi there,

You can find articles for argumentative essays in our Articles & Databases section, and by using one of the many databases which contain such resources.

First, if you haven't done background reading on your topic, check the Gale Virtual Reference Library for great basic info on your subject. Next, I recommend CQ Researcher and Issues & Controversies for pro/con ideas. CQ Researcher is considered a periodical, and the pieces within are considered articles. Issues & Controversies will have good information with great hyperlinked bibliographies which you can use for article sources.

Also, the EBSCOhost databases are a great way to search for articles on your topic. These databases are all accessible from http://libguides.mjc.edu/az.php under Not Sure Where to Start? Try These. See screenshot below for how to find them once you get to that page.

If your instructor is requiring peer-reviewed (also called refereed or juried) articles, note that Gale, EBSCO, and CINAHL databases allow you to limit your searches to retrieve only peer-reviewed content. Please read Finding Peer Review Sources for more info.
