2. Gale Databases and EBSCO databases for articles
3. CQ Researcher Online database for a research report on child custody
I ran this quick search in WorldCat su:Custody of children United States and found several books that look helpful. Especially, Warring Parents, Wounded Children the Wretched World of Child Custody Cautionary Tales < https://mjc.on.worldcat.org/oclc/191802062?databaseList=1461,1542,1708,1723,638 > which is an eBook. When you click on the title, you'll be asked to enter your MJC ID and your six-digit birth date.
Take a look at that and look in the other databases and I bet you'll find plenty of useful information. You'll also need to login to the databases like you do for an eBook if you want to access them while you're away from campus.
