Go to the Library & Learning Center homepage and do a search for stem cells in WorldCat library catalog and you'll see many titles.

To find articles from newspapers, magazines, journals, go to Find Articles to get to our databases. Select Facts on File Databases to get to Issues and Controversies. Type stem cell in the search box and you will find a number of good articles. Be sure to check the date of each article (on the right side of the search results page). There is an article written June 18. 2012, that looks particularly relevant ("Stem-Cell Research Follow-up: Obama Lifts Stem Cell Funding Ban; Researchers Make Advances").

Another good database containing articles about current social issues is CQ Researcher. Do the same search as above and you'll find many good articles.

You can do a single search of all 22 of our EBSCO databases. Click Advanced Search beneath the search box. Now type stem cells research finance in the first box and select SU Subject Terms on the right. Click the green Search button. You will now see 169 articles about the financing of stem cell research. The second one, "Stem Cell Research Funding: Policy and Law" looks good.

For really current news on this or any topic, go to Access World News, also on our Find Articles page. I would probably choose to search United States news, then do a search of lead/first paragraph for stem cell funding.
