We have a number of great resources on this topic. From the library's home page, click on Articles & Databases to get to our databases. Click Facts on File Databases to get to Issues and Controversies. Type gun control in the search box and you will find a number of good articles. Be sure to check the date of each article (on the right side of the search results page). There is an update written Dec. 17. 2012, that you won't want to miss. At the top of that article you will find a box with the heading The issue: Should U.S. gun control laws be strengthened, or would that result in the violation of constitutional rights? It contains a summary of the pros and cons of gun control. More in-depth information is available later in the article.
Another good database containing articles about current social issues is CQ Researcher. Do the same search as above and you'll find many good articles.
For really current news on this or any topic, go to Access World News, also on our Artilces & Databases page. In the left column, click Issues in the News. The first one is Gun Control. Click More after the fifth article to reveal over 200 news sources of articles about gun control.
